the Republican Committee of Smyth County |

The Smyth County Republican
Committee/Party is an official unit of the
Republican Party of
Virginia. The mission of the Smyth County Republican Party is to
support Republican candidates for office at all levels (local, Virginia,
and national) of government. In addition, the Party nominates and
supports candidates for local elected offices and promotes the values and
ideals of the Republican Party. Proceedings of the party are
conducted pursuant to the
Party Plan of the Republican Party of Virginia and the Smyth County
Republican Party Plan. The party generally meets twice monthly with
a breakfast meeting usually held the second Saturday of each month and a
regular meeting usually held the fourth Monday of each month. See our

meeting times, dates, and locations. An annual barbeque is held in
October which in the past has been attended by several high profile
speakers such as U.S. Senator George Allen and Jerry Kilgore. We
encourage all those in Smyth County who are interested in Republican
politics to attend our functions and become active in local politics.
